Hofstra Hosts Franklin & Marshall In EIWA Clash

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team is back in action Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. when the Pride hosts EIWA-foe Franklin & Marshall at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The match will be streamed live on the Hofstra Pride YouTube Channel with live statistics also available.

Hofstra (5-5, 2-1) will be looking to get back in the win column after a loss last weekend to No. 28 Penn, as well as improve its standing in the EIWA with the conference tournament just about a month away. Kyle Mosher (165) and Ross McFarland (184) remain ranked in the various wrestling polls. Mosher is 30th in the FloWrestling rankings and 32 in the InterMat poll. McFarland is 26th in the FloWrestling poll. Mosher, Chase Liardi (133), Noah Tapia (149), and Nikolas Miller (197) pace the Pride with 10 victories each.

Franklin & Marshall (2-2, 1-1 EIWA) competes at LIU prior to the match at Hofstra. The Diplomats are coming off a win over Sacred Heart last Saturday. Franklin & Marshall does not have a ranked wrestler, but Bryce Kresho (141) has a 28-13 record to lead the team.

The Pride have controlled the series against the Diplomats and hold a 12-5 advantage in the all-time series. Hofstra has won eight consecutive meetings including a 21-16 victory on January 21, 2024 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Hofstra will be back on the road for its next match, taking the short trek to LIU on February 10 for a 7 p.m. contest.
