Cruz Davis was spectacular with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists to lead the Hofstra men's basketball to a 93-68 rout of Delaware on Thursday evening at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The points and rebounds totals were both career-highs for Davis and the assist total fell one shy of his career-high.
The Pride shot a season-high 60.3% (38-63) from the field in the game.
Tonight marked the final meeting at the Mack Sports Complex between Hofstra and Delaware as conference rivals with the Blue Hens departing for Conference USA after this season.
The Pride placed a total of five in double figures with
German Plotnikov having a strong night with 14 points and seven rebounds.
The win moved Hofstra's record to 11-9 overall and 3-4 in CAA action. Delaware dropped to 11-9 and 4-3 in the league.
Hofstra took a seven-point lead into the break, 43-36, as Davis had 17 points in the opening 20 minutes. The Pride would explode in the second stanza as Hofstra scored 50 points after the break and shot an incredible 67.7% (21-31) in the final 20 minutes to tally the 25-point win.
Joining Davis and Plotnikov in double figures was
Jean Aranguren (13),
Khalil Farmer (11), and
Silas Sunday (10). Aranguren added six assists in the game, while
Michael Graham tallied eight points and six rebounds for the Pride.
Niels Lane had 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds for Delaware, while Erik Timko tallied 16 points and John Camden added 15 points and six rebounds.

- Tonight marked the 104th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Delaware. The Pride leads the all-time series, 70-34, and have won nine straight, 16 of the last 18, and 22 of the last 25 meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season against the Blue Hens. Delaware is Hofstra's most played opponent of all-time.
- Hofstra improved to 4-0 this season when five players scored in double figures.
- Davis previously had a career-high 24 points against Arkansas State on December 1, 2024, and previously had a career-high 10 rebounds versus Rice on November 29, 2024.
- Plotnikov's 14 points marked a season-high (previously had 12 versus St. Joseph's (L.I.)) and his seven rebounds tied a season-high (against Charleston on January 9, 2025).
- Farmer reached double figures for the third time this season, while Sunday reached double figures for the second time in 2024-25. Aranguren was in double figures for a team-high 17th time.
