Jaquan Sanders led the Pride with 15 points and
Jean Aranguren added 10 points and seven assists, but William & Mary used a big first half run and defeated the Hofstra men's basketball team, 74-56, on Thursday evening at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.
Hofstra fell to 8-6 overall and 0-1 in CAA play with the loss. William & Mary improved to 7-7 and 1-0 in league play.
German Plotnikov added eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals for the Pride, which also got 12 points from
TJ Gadsden and six points, four rebounds, and three blocks from
Joshua DeCady.
Matteus Case led William & Mary with 15 points, while Kyle Frazier and Noah Collier each had 12 points for the Tribe.
The Pride goes on the road for the first time in conference play on Saturday when it travels to Northeastern for a 12 p.m. contest.

- Hofstra is now 29-16 all-time against William & Mary.
- Today marked the 25th anniversary of the Mack Sports Complex (the building opened with a 74-46 Hofstra win over Boston University on January 2, 2000).
