Brookville, NY - Hofstra's
Abraham Longosiwa led the Pride to a first place team finish at LIU's Fall Festival to open the 2024 cross country season.
Longosiwa earned a first-place finish in the men's 8K race with a time of 23:49.72.
Michael Silveri finished second in 25:52.68, while
Brian Beck and
Jamie Cartnal came in at 26:33.03 and 26:35.92 to take third and fourth-place. Freshman
Alex Walsh finished 7th in 27:21.22 and
John Ortiz completed the Hofstra line-up in 10th place, with a time of 27:52.46.
Hofstra finished first in the three-team field with 17 points. Hosts LIU took second with 39 points, while Baruch came in third with 80 points.
The Pride will return to action on Saturday, October 5 for Lehigh University's Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA.
