Steiger Devil led the Hofstra men's outdoor track & field team with two first place finishes Friday morning at the Hofstra Invitational from the track at Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, New York. Devil took first in the 100m dash and the 200m dash events with personal best times of 11.25 and 22.63.
Sameer Grewal finished both the 100m and 200m dash races in second place and
Cade Jaipaul was third in both as well. Grewal recorded a personal best 11.60 time in the 100m dash and time of 22.63 in the 200m dash, while Jaipaul recorded personal best times of 12.80 and 25.25.
Arnario Briggs-Garcia was third in the 200m dash at 22.78 and
Ryan McAlea was fifth at 36.53.
Zach Daudelin and
Jamie Cartnal recorded personal best times in the 100m dash to place fifth and seventh, respectively.
Evan Papadopoulos finished in sixth place at 15.13.
Alex Walsh was eighth at 15.70 and
Callum Beach finished the 100m dash with a time of 17.13 to place ninth.Â
The men's 800m race saw
Matthew Laudicina take first with a personal best time of 1:57.90 and
Danny Haddad finish in second at 2:08.27.

Brian Beck, and
Cade Jaipaul prior to the meet.
The Pride return to action on Saturday, April 18, with
Abel Kipkemboi competing in the men's 1500m event at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. The race is slated to begin at 10:36 p.m. PDT.Â
