Annapolis, MD - Hofstra concluded play Sunday afternoon at the Navy Fall Invitational from the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland. The 36-hole tournament was hosted by Navy and played at the par-72, 6,084-yard course.
The Pride finished in 11th place out of 15 teams after two rounds of play. Hofstra placed 11th at 651 (+75), while the hosts took first place with a two-round score of 592 (+16). Navy's Emma Tang won the individual championship with a 142 (-2).
Regina Cantu Chavez led the Pride and finished tied for 32nd with a 157 (+13) two-round score. Cantu Chavez shot rounds of 82-75.
Kaylie Porter tied for 45th out of the 85-player field at 159 (+15). Both Cantu Chavez and Porter shot career low rounds of 75.
Tori Bien tied for 57th at 166 (+22) after rounds of 84-82, while
Claire Galante tied for 64th at 169 (+25).
Mai Takahashi finished at 180 (+36) to place 80th.Â
Hofstra will be back in action to host Wagner College at the Seawane Club in Hewlett, New York, on October 12.Â
