Hofstra Hosts Brown Thursday Afternoon To Close Homestand

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team closes out a three-game homestand Thursday afternoon when it hosts Brown at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Pride (1-0-2) is coming off a 2-1 victory over Yale this past Sunday behind goals from Mathilde Braithwaite and Ellie Gough. Thorhildur Thorhallsdottir notched her second assist of the season on Braithwaite's goal, while Millie Davies assisted on Gough's goal.

Brown comes into the matinee with an 0-1 record following a 1-0 loss to Rhode Island. The Bears had their game against Kansas halted 56 minutes into play on August 26. Hofstra is 2-2 all-time against the Bears with the last meeting a 3-0 loss in Providence on Sept. 4, 2022. The Pride posted a 4-1 win in the 2021 season opener at home.

Following Thursday's game, Hofstra will have more than a week off as the team returns to action Sept. 8 at Loyola Maryland.
