Dadone Named CAA Defensive Player Of The Week

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University senior goalkeeper Filippo Dadone has been selected the Coastal Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of games last week. The award is the first of Dadone's career.

Dadone (Cuneo, Italy) went 1-0-1 in the two games with a shutout and five saves. He stopped all five shots he faced in a 0-0 draw against Fordham on opening night, which was also his first Hofstra start. Dadone followed that up with a 4-1 win at American in a game in which he did not face a shot on goal with Eagles lone tally coming on an own goal.

No. 17 Hofstra and Dadone will be back in action Thursday night when the Pride hosts Providence at 7 p.m.
