Saint Helena Island, SC - The Hofstra men's golf team placed 11th at the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association Championship at the Dataw Island Cotton Dike Course Tuesday. The Pride shot a three-round score of 943 (+79).
Eugene Kang was Hofstra's top finisher, tying for 20th place at 218 (+2). Kang shot a low third round 71 (-1) to conclude the tournament.
Jaxon Hummel tied for 47th at 241 (+25), following rounds of 74-83-84.
Joseph Giamanco and
Vincent Apostolico shot identical rounds of 78-81-84 throughout the three round tournament to finish tied for 49th at 243 (+27).
Gavin Clarke subbed into the Hofstra lineup Tuesday in place of
Taishi Shigaki and shot an 89 (+17).
The College of Charleston took home the championship title with a three round score of 829 (-35), while Elon came in second just seven strokes behind. The Cougars won their seventh CAA Men's Golf title and now hold the four best 54-hole scores in tournament history.
