Kang Shoots Even Par On Day Two To Lead Pride At CAA Championship

Saint Helena Island, SC - Eugene Kang shot an even-par 72 Monday during the second round of the Coastal Athletic Association Championship at the Cotton Dike Course at Dataw Island. The Pride is in 11th-place after two rounds at 620 (+44).

Kang collected four birdies in the second round to jump ten places and sit in a tie for 28th with a two round 147 (+3). Jaxon Hummel is in 46th-place after a second round 83 (+11). For the second day in a row Joseph Giamanco and Vincent Apostolico shot identically, each with a second round 81 (+9) to tie for 47th. Taishi Shigaki is tied for 51st at 165 (+21) after a second round 81 (+9).

Elon ousted UNCW to take first with a two-round 553 (-23), while Charleston moved up to take second at 557 (-19). Charleston's Kieron van Wyk is the individual leader at 135 (-9). He holds a one stroke lead over Elon's Jack Wieler and Bronson Myers, who are both tied for second.

The final round of the CAA Championship gets underway on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
