Giamanco Leads Hofstra Through Second Round of Shark Invitational

Roslyn Harbor, NY - The Hofstra men's golf team finished eleventh through two rounds at the LIU Shark Invitational at the Engineers Country Club on Monday. The Pride was led by Joseph Giamanco who was in a four way tie for 33rd after two rounds. As a team, the Pride held a two-round score of 629 (+61).

Giamanco shot a first round 75 (+4) and second round 80 (+9) to tie for 33rd. Taishi Shigaki tied for 37th in the 71-player field, after a first round 77 (+6) and second round 79 (+9). Eugene Kang shot a 80 (+9) and 78 (+7) to tie for 42nd, while Jaxon Hummel tied for 46th after shooting a 78 (+8) and an 82 (+11). Vincent Apostolico is 64th and Tyler Barbaro is tied for 69th.

LIU's Carlo Edoardo Lasi is in first after scores of 74-69, while two golfers from Seton Hall are tied for second. Seton Hall is first as a team with a two-round score of 584 (+16). 

The Pride are back on the green Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Engineers Country Club in Roslyn Harbor, New York.
