Eugene Kang led the Pride at the Roar-EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia University at the Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, New York on Saturday. The Pride finished with a two-round team score of 614 (+38) to finish 13th in the 13-team field.
Hosts Columbia took the team title with a two-round score of 556 (-20). Yale finished six strokes behind to take second place.
Kang finished tied for 52nd at 150 (+6) with rounds of 73 (+1) and 77 (+5).
Vincent Apostolico shot a 78 (+6) and a 74 (+2) for a two-round 152 (+8) to finish tied for 58th, while
Taishi Shigaki tied for 63rd at 155 (+11) with rounds of 80 (+8) and 75 (+3).
Joseph Giamanco was 68th with a two-round 157 (+13), while
Tyler Barbaro finished 73rd at 167 (+23).
Columbia's DJ Frances and Yale's Ben Carpenter took the individual title with a two-round 137 (-7). Wyatt McGovern of Columbia placed 3rd at 139 (-5).
Hofstra returns to action on Monday and Tuesday for the LIU Shark Invitational in Roslyn Harbor, New York, at the Engineers Country Club.
