Kansas City, MO - Hofstra University graduate 285-pounder
Keaton Kluever saw his season come to an end Thursday at the NCAA Championships at the T-Mobile Center. Kluever went 0-2 on day one of the tournament.
In his opening match, the 24th-seeded Kluever squared off against ninth-seeded Nick Feldman of Ohio State with Feldman winning by fall at the 2:27 mark. The two had faced each other at the start of the 2023-24 season in a dual match with Feldman scoring a tech fall victory. Kluever had another rematch from the regular season in his consolation round match as he took on the eight seed Owen Trephan of North Carolina State. Trephan came away with an 10-2 major decision to eliminate Kluever from the tournament. In a dual match earlier this season, Trephan had scored an 11-3 major decision over Kluever.
Kluever ends his season with a 15-7 record. As a team, Hofstra is tied for 63rd place.Â
