Hofstra Heads To Hampton To Begin Road Swing

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will begin a stretch of three straight games away from home on Thursday when it travels to Hampton for a 7 p.m. contest. 

The game will air on FloHoops and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. 

Hofstra has won five of its last six games to improve to 13-10 overall and 6-4 in Coastal Athletic Association play. 

The Pride is coming off a 59-56 win over Towson on Saturday as Tyler Thomas posted 23 points, seven rebounds, and a career-high nine assists in the win. He was aided by 14 points and four rebounds from Darlinstone Dubar

Hampton enters Thursday with a 5-18 overall mark and a 0-10 CAA record. The Pirates stepped out of conference play in their last game, defeating Howard, 63-61, on Saturday. Jerry Deng led Hampton with 21 points. In their most recent CAA contest, the Pirates fell, 59-58, at North Carolina A&T on February 1. 

Thursday will be the fourth all-time meeting between Hofstra and Hampton in men's basketball with the Pride having won all three previous meetings. In the first meeting this season, Dubar had 27 points as Hofstra overcame a 15-point halftime deficit in earning an 86-77 victory. The other two meetings in the series were last season.
