Hofstra Heads To West Coast For Two Dual Matches

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team will compete in a pair of dual matches on Saturday, February 17 in Riverside, California. The Pride will meet Cal Bakersfield in a neutral site match at 3 p.m. (PST) and then face host California Baptist at 6 p.m. (PST).

Hofstra's match against California Baptist will be live streamed. Live scoring is also available for each match. Links for both are available above or on the wrestling schedule page of GoHofstra.com. 

The Pride enters the weekend with a record of 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the EIWA. The Roadrunners of Cal Bakersfield are 0-10 on the season, while the Lancers of California Baptist are 4-9.

This will be Hofstra's second meeting with each school. The Pride is 0-1 versus Cal Bakersfield with the match coming during the 1980-81 season in California. Hofstra is 1-0 against California Baptist after posting a 21-15 victory in Hempstead last season. 

Hofstra will have one more dual match left in the season following Saturday's competitions. The Pride will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 24 to take on Drexel in an EIWA matchup. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
