Pride Cruises Past Golden Eagles; Earns 11th Consecutive Home Victory

Hempstead, NY - In front of more than 4,000 screaming school children on "Class at the Court" day, the Hofstra men's basketball team gave the fans plenty to cheer about as the Pride defeated St. Joseph's (L.I.), 114-46, on Friday at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. Hofstra drained 19 three-pointers in the game, falling one shy of the program record set against James Madison on February 29, 2020.

It was a career day for KiJan Robinson as he had career-highs of 28 points and seven assists, while also adding five rebounds. Robinson was a spectacular 10-12 from the field and 8-9 from three-point range in the contest. The 28 points were the most in a game by a Pride player this season, besting the total of 25 by Jean Aranguren against SUNY Old Westbury.

Hofstra moved to 7-3 with the win. St. Joseph's (L.I.) is 1-6 this season. The Pride committed just three turnovers in the game. It marks their fewest since having three against Northeastern on February 25, 2023.

Eric Parnell had a strong game for Hofstra as well with a season-best 19 points, while Khalil Farmer added a career-high 16 points.

Hofstra broke the game open midway through the first half as the Pride used a 14-0 scoring run to take a 30-14 lead and never looked back.

German Plotnikov and Joshua DeCady were also in double figures for Hofstra with 12 points each, with Plotnikov adding four assists and DeCady tallying four steals.

Alec Tabada had 14 points for St. Joseph's (L.I.), while Spencer Malloy added eight points and five rebounds.

Hofstra returns to action on Monday when it travels to Norfolk State for a 7 p.m. contest.
