Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Shannon Smith announced today a group of four that will serve as captains for the Pride during the upcoming 2025 campaign. 

The Pride's captains will be: junior Luchianna Cardello, sophomore Christine Dannenfelser, senior Brynn Hepting, and redshirt sophomore Nikki Mennella.

"We are thrilled to have these four incredible student-athletes lead us this season," said Smith. "All four are incredible leaders and we look forward to them guiding us this season."

Cardello, a native of Massapequa, New York, is in her third season with the Pride. She has played in 29 career games with 28 starts. 

Dannenfelser, who hails from Bayport, New York, started all 17 games during her rookie season with Hofstra. 

Hepting, a native of Towson, Maryland, has started all 47 games she has played in during her career. 

Mennella, from Smithtown, New York, is in her third season with the Pride and has played in 19 games with 16 starts.
