Abraham Longosiwa finished first in the mile at the Wagner College Shootout on Friday afternoon with a time of 4:13.14 to break the men's track program record in the event with his time. Longosiwa led the Pride with his first place finish from Ocean Breeze Athletics Complex in Staten Island, New York.
William Thu also competed in the mile race and finished in fifth place with a personal best time of 4:20.27.
Adam Gordon,
Steiger Devil and
Greg Franzetti competed in the 60m race and finished with times of 7.34, 7.49, and 7.92.
Alec Padron represented the Pride in the 300m race to finish 77th out of 125 runners with a time of 37.87.
Sameer Grewal raced in the 600m to finish 33rd with a time of 1:28.7.
Philip Park and
James Watterson competed for Hofstra in the shot put event and finished in 54th and 55th place with shot marks of 9.06m and 8.89m.
Brian Beck led Hofstra in the 3000m race with his third place finish and time of 8:33.47, while
Alex Walsh rounded out the top-10 to finish 10th in 8:59.91.
The Pride will be back in action on Friday, January 24, 2025, for Columbia University's Dr. Sander Invitational.
