Oneonta, NY - Ryan Arbeit won the 133 pound title, while Dylan Zenion (149) and Jake Slotnick (165) placed second, Adrian Sans (285) was third and Gavin Proffitt (184) placed sixth at the New York State Championships this past weekend. All five wrestlers competed unattached at the event.

Arbeit picked up two decisions before scoring an 8-0 major decision in the championship match against NYU's James Carlock. Zenion had a decision victory and a win by fall before losing by tech fall in the finals, while Slotnick had a major and a decision before losing by decision in the championship match. 

San won his opening match by a major before a loss sent him into the consolation bracket, where he picked up a win by fall and then won a 2-0 decision over an unattached Darius Green to earn a spot on the podium. Proffitt was 2-3 with all five matches decided by fall.
