Five From Pride Earn Postseason CAA Honors

Hempstead, NY - Following a strong regular season, five members of the Hofstra volleyball team were honored by the Coastal Athletic Association on the postseason All-CAA teams. 

Chiara Cucco and Izadora Stedile were named to the All-CAA First Team, Clara Bal picked up All-CAA Second Team accolades, and Ellie Pamatat and Constanza Perez Sain garnered CAA All-Rookie Team honors. 

This marks the third All-CAA honor of Cucco's career as she was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2022 and an All-CAA Second Team pick in 2021. She also earned CAA Libero of the Year honors in both of those seasons. Stedile was a All-CAA Second Team honoree in 2022. This marks the first career CAA postseason award for Bal, Pamatat, and Perez Sain. 

A four-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week award recipient in 2024, Cucco had a tremendous regular season as she totaled a team-best 494 digs, 81 assists, and 23 service aces. One of the all-time great defensive players in program history, she currently ranks second all-time at Hofstra with 1,833 career digs. She leads the CAA and ranks 28th nationally in digs per set. 

Stedile had a strong regular season campaign as she was the Pride's top all-around player, posting 313 kills, 373 digs, 35 blocks, 29 assists, and 25 service aces. Stedile led Hofstra in kills and ranked second in both digs and service aces. She ranks ninth in the CAA in kills per set and eighth in the league in digs per set. 

Bal amassed 273 kills, 95 digs, 20 blocks, 15 service aces, and 27 assists this regular season. She ranked second on the squad in kills. One of the top players in the league, Bal ranked sixth in the CAA in kills per set. 

Pamatat earned a pair of CAA Rookie of the Week honors during the regular season in shining in her first campaign. Pamatat leads Hofstra with 634 assists this season, while also adding 125 digs. She is fifth in the CAA in assists per set. 

Perez Sain also won two CAA Rookie of the Week accolades this season as she burst on the scene for the Pride in 2024. Perez Sain has 247 kills to go along with 69 digs, 53 blocks, and 44 service aces. She ranks third on the team in kills and first in service aces. Perez Sain is tops in the CAA in service aces per set and ranks 22nd nationally in that category.
