Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will face a big challenge on Tuesday as the Pride heads to Florida State looking to improve to 5-0 this season.
Hofstra will be in search of its first 5-0 start to a season since the 2004-05 squad began the year with nine consecutive victories.
Tip-off from the Tucker Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.

It was another important victory for the Pride in its most recent outing as Hofstra went on the road and defeated Massachusetts, 75-71, in overtime on Saturday evening. The Pride is 4-0 for the second time in the past three seasons as they also began the 2022-23 campaign with four consecutive victories.
With Saturday's win over Massachusetts, the Pride beat an Atlantic 10 team on the road for the first time since defeating Duquesne, 73-63, on November 13, 2021 for
Speedy Claxton's first career win and beat an Atlantic 10 team for the first time overall since defeating George Washington, 85-80, on November 14, 2022.
Cruz Davis led Hofstra with 21 points and added six rebounds and four assists in the victory over the Minutemen, while
Jean Aranguren had his first career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the winning effort.
Florida State is 3-1 this season with wins over Northern Kentucky, Rice, and Tarleton State. The Seminoles dropped their most recent game to Florida on Friday by the score of 87-74. Jamir Watkins led FSU with 19 points and seven rebounds in the game.
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between Hofstra and Florida State in men's basketball. The Pride captured the most recent meeting, 82-77, on November 20, 2015 at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Seminoles won the first three meetings in a series that began on January 26, 1968. Three of the four previous all-time meetings have taken place in Tallahassee.
