Clara Bal and
Constanza Perez Sain each had 15 kills to lead the Pride, but the Hofstra volleyball team dropped a four-set decision to Towson on Saturday evening at TU Arena. The match was the regular season finale for both teams.
The Pride fought back from a 2-0 deficit in the match to nearly push it to five sets before falling.
Hofstra saw its five-match win streak come to an end as the Pride's record dropped to 18-9 overall and 14-4 in the CAA. Towson improved to 23-5 and 14-4 in conference action. Seeding for the CAA Championship will be announced by the league office.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, and 27-29 in favor of Towson.
After dropping two close sets to open the match, the Pride got a set back with a 25-22 victory in the third stanza. The fourth set was a battle between the teams that went "extra time" before Towson was able to escape with the win.
Izadora Stedile added 11 kills and 21 digs for the ride, which also got 27 assists and 13 digs from
Beatriz Alves.
Chiara Cucco tallied 22 digs in the match.
Victoria Barrett led Towson with 12 kills and added 14 digs.

- Hofstra is 47-25 all-time against Towson. The teams split the season series with the Pride winning last night.
