Elon, NC - Hofstra men's cross country runner
Abraham Longosiwa finished second in the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championship 8K race on Friday morning from the campus of Elon University. Longosiwa led the Pride to place 6th overall, out of 11 teams.
Abraham Longosiwa earned All-CAA postseason honors for his second place finish and time of 24:22.20.
Brian Beck placed 36th, finishing with a time of 26:21.10, while
William Thu was three seconds behind to place 37th at 26:24.00.
Alex Walsh was 53rd at 27:14.60, while
John Ortiz placed 82nd out of the 98-runner field with a time of 28:50.40.
Hofstra scored 167 points to place sixth out of 11 teams, while Stony Brook and Northeastern had the closest finish in CAA history. The Seawolves captured their third team title with 48 points and Northeastern came in second with 49 points. Northeastern's Benjamin Godish took the individual title with a time of 24:11.40.Â
The Hofstra men are back in action on November 15 for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship in New Hampshire.Â
