Lewis Leads Fourth Quarter Comeback

Towson, MD – Jaime Lewis scored twice in the fourth quarter to lead the Hofstra field hockey team to a come-from-behind, 3-2, win over Towson on Friday afternoon at the TU Field Hockey Complex. Lewis is the Pride's first player this season to score multiple goals in a game.

The win moves Hofstra's record to 4-12 overall and 2-3 in CAA action. Towson dropped to 6-10 and 1-5 in league play.

Towson got the only goal of the opening half with just six seconds left in the first quarter as Kristin Strijdom found the back of the net.

The Jamie show would get started in the third quarter as Jamie Mc Millan got the Pride on the scoreboard at the 37:12 mark. Towson quickly answered and would take a 2-1 lead into the final stanza.

Early in the fourth quarter Jaime Lewis knotted the score, setting up the game for an exciting finish.
