Hempstead, NY - Hofstra junior
Izadora Stedile was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office this afternoon.
It is the first conference weekly honor of the season for Stedile, who earlier this season garnered spots on two different all-tournament teams.
It was another tremendous week for Stedile as she was spectacular on both sides of the ball as the Pride won both matches in the first place CAA battle with Northeastern to extend the overall win streak to seven matches.
For the week she had 25 kills and 41 digs.
Stedile got her week started with 14 kills and a career-high 23 digs, while also adding two blocks in Friday's four-set victory over the Huskies. She bested her previous career-best of 20 digs, most recently against Stony Brook earlier this season.
On Saturday she added 11 digs and another 18 digs, while contributing a pair of service aces as well. She led Hofstra in digs in the match.
The two double-doubles gave her a team-high eight this season.
Stedile averaged 3.57 kills and an incredible 5.86 digs per set in the two matches.
