Tapia, Slotnick, Church, and Acevedo Lead Pride At F&M Lehman Open

Lancaster, PA - Jake Slotnick, wrestling unattached, advanced to the quarterfinals of the 165 pound weight class, while Noah Tapia compiled a 5-1 record at 149 pounds as the Pride wrapped up competition at the Franklin and Marshall Lehman Open Friday evening. The event did not feature team scoring. 

In all, Hofstra posted a 20-33 record at the Open, including a 7-10 mark from five unattached wrestlers. 

In addition to Tapia's five wins, Danny Church had three victories, while Dylan Acevedo and Slotnick had two victories each. Tapia's day ended after a victory in the consolation round of 8 due to reaching the NCAA limit for matches in a day. 

Hofstra returns to action Sunday in a dual match at home against 7th-ranked North Carolina State. Start time is 11:30 a.m. at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center. Tickets are available at HofstraTickets.com or at the door beginning one hour before match time.
