Pride Entertains Blue Hens To Close Homestand On Saturday

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will host Delaware on Saturday to close the two-game homestand to open CAA play. 

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Hofstra is 7-7 and 0-1 in the league following Thursday's opening night loss to Charleston. The Pride got 21 points from Tyler Thomas in the game and 20 points and 12 rebounds from Darlinstone Dubar

Delaware is 9-5 and 1-0 in conference playing after an 80-53 victory over Hampton on Thursday evening. Jyare Davis led the Blue Hens with 17 points in the contest. 

Hofstra leads the all-time series with Delaware, 67-34. The Blue Hens are the Pride's most-played opponent all-time and the series began during the 1953-54 season with a 72-62 Hofstra win. Hofstra has won six straight in the series, 13 of the last 15 and 19 of the 22 meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season. The 101 all-time meetings rank first ahead of the Drexel (97) and Towson (77) series for the Pride.
