Pride Looks To Continue Winning Ways At Monmouth On Saturday

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will look to extend its win streak to four games when it travels to Monmouth on Saturday. 

Tip-off from the OceanFirst Bank Center is scheduled for 2 p.m. 

The Pride has won three straight games to improve to 11-9 overall and 4-3 in CAA play.

Hofstra picked up a 64-55 win over William & Mary on Thursday as German Plotnikov tallied a career-high with 15 points to lead the way, while Darlinstone Dubar added 14 points and Jaquan Carlos had eight points, nine rebounds, and six assists. It was a milestone night for Tyler Thomas as he crossed the 2,000 career point threshold in the contest and became the 42nd member of the 1,000-Point Club at Hofstra in the game. 

Monmouth is 10-10 and 3-4 in the league. The Hawks dropped a 72-65 road decision to Stony Brook on Thursday. Xander Rice had 18 points, while Jack Collins added 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists. 

Saturday will be the 15th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Monmouth in men's basketball. The Pride leads the series, 8-6, and has won seven consecutive games against the Hawks.
