Hofstra Hosts Campbell To Open CAA Slate

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team begins Coastal Athletic Association play Sunday at 1 p.m. when it welcomes CAA-newcomer Campbell to Hofstra Soccer Stadium. The game will be live streamed on FloFC with live statistics and an audio-only broadcast also available. Links for all can be found at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra, the two-time defending CAA champions, enters the contest with a 3-2 record and is riding a two-game winning streak. The Pride is coming off a 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's in the home opener last Sunday. Mackenzie Sullivan and Skylar Kuzmich combined to shutout the Hawks and Wiktoria Fronc recorded the lone goal of the game for the Pride.

Campbell is 2-2-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the CAA following a scoreless draw at Stony Brook Thursday night. The Camels turned in a strong defensive effort as Stony Brook took 16 shots in the contest. Goalkeeper JLo Varada stopped five shots to earn the shutout.

Hofstra and Campbell have met just once previously with the Camels taking a 2-0 victory in Hempstead during the Pride's inaugural Division I season in 1993.

Following Sunday's game, Hofstra will remain home to host Drexel on Thursday, September 14 at 7 p.m.
