Boston, MA - The Hofstra volleyball team saw its seven-match win streak come to an end on Sunday as they dropped a three-set decision to Northeastern at Cabot Gymnasium.
Hofstra was led by
Izadora Stedile, who had 12 kills and 11 digs.
Clara Bal contributed 11 kills, while
Chiara Cucco added 12 digs and
Beatriz Alves had 39 assists.
The loss moves Hofstra to 13-2 overall and 3-1 in CAA play. Northeastern is 7-5 and 3-1 as well. The win streak was the longest of the season for the Pride, which had a six-match win streak earlier this year.
Sarah Pierre added seven kills for the Pride.
Defne Arliel had nine kills, seven digs, and four blocks for Northeastern, which also got seven kills and 11 digs from Julianna Truscott.
Hofstra is back at home next weekend when it hosts Towson on Saturday and Sunday. Both matches will begin at 1 p.m.

- Hofstra is 49-18 all-time against Northeastern. The win by the Huskies ended a four-match win streak by the Pride in the series.
- The double-double by Stedile was her team-leading seventh of the season and her fourth straight.
- Bal has reached double figures in kills a team-high 12 times this season and in three consecutive matches.
- Cucco has reached double figures in digs nine times this season and in four consecutive matches.
