Kensington, CT - Hofstra shot a final round 305 (+21) and
Jaxon Hummel is tied for 47th place as play concluded at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate Sunday.
Hofstra shaved 7 strokes off their first round score to post a better score of 305 (+21) in the second round. The Pride was tied for 15th in the 17-team field at 617 (+49).Â
Hummel shot a 72 (+1) Sunday and finished in a six-way tie for 47th place.
Taishi Shigaki tied for 66th-place at 153 after shooting a second round 77 (+6).
Eugene Kang and
Gavin Clarke tied for 79th-place at 157 (+15). Both shot a second round 78 (+7).
Tyler Barbaro tied for 88th at 164 (+22) following a final round 80 (+9).Â
DJ Francey of Columbia was the individual medalist at 134 (-8). Francey shot two rounds of 67 (-4) to claim the title. Lewis Wright of LIU was second at 135 (-7) after rounds of 69 (-5) and 66 (-2).Â
LIU was the team champion at 561 (-14) with Columbia finishing as the runner-up.
The Pride returns to action October 15 at the Sacred Heart University Fall Classic.Â
