Hempstead, NY - Hofstra graduate student SSDM Corey Kale inked his first professional contract today as he signed with the Redwoods Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League.

Kale played in all 14 games this year, his final in a Pride uniform. He posted 34 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers, while also adding a pair of assists. He ranked second on the team in ground balls and third in caused turnovers.

For his career, the Robbinsville, New Jersey native played in 60 games and had 10 points on eight goals and two assists. He also totaled 107 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers.

Kale wore the #27 jersey this season for Hofstra. This prestigious honor, the Nick Colleluori Tribute Award, is presented to a Hofstra player in the form of assigning Nick's number 27 to a student-athlete who exhibits the same selflessness, team spirit and relentlessness that Colleluori displayed on and off the field. Colleluori, who played for the Pride and would have been a member of the Class of 2008, fought a courageous 14-month battle against non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma before passing away on November 28, 2006.

The 2022 season saw seven Hofstra men's lacrosse alums on PLL rosters as Josh Byrne, Jack Concannon, Steven DeNapoli, Brendan Kavanagh, Bryan McIntosh, Finn Sullivan, and Ryan Tierney all were part of the league.
