Hofstra Wraps Up Play At CAA Championship

Beaufort, SC - The Hofstra University men's golf team placed 10th at the 2023 Colonial Athletic Association Championship held at Dataw Island's Morgan River/Cotton Dike Course (Par 72). The Pride shot a three-round score of  969.

Dino Capazario was Hofstra's top finisher, tying for 37th place at 234 (+18). Capazario shot an 86 (+14) Tuesday following earlier rounds of 76 and 72. Joseph Giamanco finished 42nd at 241 (+25) following rounds of 79-81-81. His final round 81 was the top Hofstra score on the day. 

Vincent Apostolico placed 46th with a 249 (+33) with rounds of 81-79-89, while Jaxon Hummel was 47th at 255 (+39) following rounds of 84-86-85. Mayaank gally subbed into the Hofstra lineup Tuesday in place of Taishi Shigaki and shot an 86 (+14).

UNCW won the team title at 849 (-15), nine strokes better than second place Elon. Patrick Sparks of UNCW shot a 205 (-11) to win the individual title. Drue Nicholas of Drexel was the runner up at 209 (-7).
