Capazario Shares Roar-EE Invitational Tournament WIn

Dino Capazario was the co-champion of the Roar-EE Invitationall
Kingston, NY - Dino Capazario shot a 65 (-7) and earned co-medalist accolades at the Roar-EE Invitational hosted by Columbia Saturday at Wiltwyck Country Club. Play was halted in the second round due to severe weather and only first round scores were counted. As a team, Hofstra placed 12th in the 12-team field at 298 (+10). 

Capazario had six birdies and an eagle on the 6,685-yard course en route to tying Holy Cross' Christian Emmerich for the tournament win. Jaxon Hummel, who also had an eagle on the day, was Hofstra's next finisher, tying for 36th-place in the 69-player field at 74 (+2). Mayaank Gally tied for 57th-place at 78 (+6), while Vincent Apostolico tied for 62nd at 79 (+7). Taishi Shigaki finished 68th at 81 (+9).

Capazario and Emmerich finished one stroke ahead of three other golfers. The win was the first of Capazario's career. 

Holy Cross won the team title with a 281 (-7), one stroke better than Penn and Cornell. 

Hofstra will return to action Monday and Tuesday at The Shark Invitational hosted by LIU at Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, New York.
