Hofstra 15th After First Round Of Villanova Wildcat Spring Invitational

Glenside, PA - Jaxon Hummel shot a first round 74 (+3) and is tied for 34th-place at the Villanova Wildcat Spring Invitational at LuLu Country Club Monday afternoon. As a team, Hofstra is in 15th-place at 313 (+29).

Dino Capazario is tied for 52nd-place at 76 (+5), while Taishi Shigaki is tied for 77th at 80 (+9). Shigaki is playing as an individual entrant in the tournament. Mayaank Gally is tied for 82nd-place at 81 (+10) with Vincent Apostolico tied for 87th at 82 (+11). Joseph Giamanco is tied for 91st at 83 (+12).

La Salle leads the 15-team field at 277 (-7), five strokes ahead of Iona and Villanova. The Explorers' Anthony Garcia leads the 95-player field at 65 (-6). Four players are tied for second at 67 (-4).

Round two of the Wildcat Spring Invitational gets underway Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
