Hofstra Ties For Fourth At South Jersey Spring Kickoff

Ocean View, NJ - Hofstra tied for fourth place at the South Jersey Spring Kickoff Sunday, shooting a two-day total of 629 (+53). The Pride hoad rounds of 315 and 314 in the event, which was hosted by Iona at the Shore Gate Golf Club (Par 72).

Dino Capazario was the Pride's top finisher, tying for ninth place at 155 (+11) following rounds of 77 and 78. Joseph Giamanco was 13th in the 50-player field at 156 (+12) with rounds of 76 and 80.

Taishi Shigaki and Vincent Apostolico tied for 20th-place at 159 (+15). Shigaki had rounds of 82 and 77, while Apostolico shot 80 and 79. Shigaki's 77 was the low round of the day for the Pride. Jaxon Hummel rounded out the team entry for the Pride in a tie for 35th-place at 167 (+23) with rounds of 83 and 84. Mayaank Gally, an individual entrant, tied for 31st at 166 (+22) following scores of 88 and 78.

Iona's Gonzalo Arcelay was the individual champion at 149 (+5), while La Salle was the team champion at 616 (+40).
