Gavin Clarke Signs NLI To Join Pride

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Men's Golf Coach Joe Elliott announced the signing of Gavin Clarke to a National Letter of Intent. Clarke will further his education and golf career at Hofstra beginning in the Fall 2023.

"Gavin is a tremendous athlete and a well-decorated golfer," said Coach Elliott. "I look forward to him joining our team this fall."

Clarke has been a four-year member of the golf, basketball, and soccer teams at Tri-Valley Central High School in Grahamsville, New York. He has been a team Most Valuable Player in golf and soccer and has won the Coaches Award in all three sports. Clarke boasts a 1.2 handicap and is also active on the Metropolitan PGA Junior Tour. In 2022 he posted nine top 10 finishes on the tour with three first-place finishes.

Clarke, who flew a plane at age 8, is interested in pursuing a career as an engineer at amajor aviation company. He plans to major in mechanical engineering at Hofstra.
