This past week, Hofstra went 3-3 with wins over Monmouth and UMBC and a pair of hard-fought defeats to Virginia and Monmouth, putting Hofstra's record at 11-16 overall and 5-1 in the CAA. The Pride started the week with 2-0 and 4-1 defeats to Virginia on March 21, before winning 5-2 in 10 innings at UMBC on Thursday, and concluding the week with two wins in three games against Monmouth from Bill Edwards Stadium.

In the circle, Annabella Pisapia earned a win over Monmouth on Friday and a save against Monmouth on Sunday, and she didn't allow a single run in 11.1 innings of work over six games.

Army West Point enters Wednesday on the heels of a series sweep of Holy Cross in conference play, putting the Black Knights at 10-20 overall on the year. Howard is 9-16 after a doubleheader split against Coppin State, and North Carolina A&T is 6-21 overall and 1-5 in the CAA after losing a three-game series against UNCW. The Aggies will face North Carolina State on Wednesday before their series with the Pride.

Hofstra holds a 17-4 all-time record against Army West Point, while the Pride is 1-0 against Howard, and Saturday will be the first-ever meeting against North Carolina A&T. The Pride played both Army West Point and Howard last season; Hofstra split a road doubleheader with the Black Knights on March 30, and the Pride defeated Howard away from home on March 24.
