Capazario Leads Hofstra During Round One Of The Battle At Rum Pointe

Berlin, MD - Dino Capazario shot an opening round 70 (-2) and is tied for eighth place after the opening round of the Battle at Rum Pointe, hosted by Iona at the Rum Pointe Golf Course. The Pride is 17th as a team in the 17-team field at 316 (+28).

Capazario is three strokes off the lead in the 100-player field. Three Pride golfers - Jaxon Hummel, Joseph Giamanco, and Mayaank Gally - are tied for 91st place at 82 (+10), while Vincent Apostolico is tied for 96th at 83 (+11).

Michael Amari (Hartford), Fletcher Wunderlich (Iona) and Robbie Herzig (Colgate) are tied for the lead after round one at 67 (-5). LIU is the team leader at 280 (-8), four strokes better than Rider.

Final round action of the Battle at Rum Pointe gets underway Sunday morning.
