Staten Island, NY – Hofstra indoor women's track senior
Jordyn McDonnell finished first in the Mile on Friday's METS Indoor Championships from Staten Island, New York.
McDonnell ran a 5:01.92 Mile, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of Iona's Cosmina Spiridon in second. It was her second event win of the season; she previously finished first in the Mile at the Seahawk Shootout on December 9 with a time of 5:02.30.
Samantha Szabo finished seventh in the 5000m with a time of 19:53.11,
April Ivan 23rd in the shot put with a throw of 8.17m, and
Kayla Stadeker finished 29th in the 800m with a time of 2:56.69. Also competing for Hofstra was
Deandra Baker, Wiktoria Fronc, and
Rachel Lande in the 60m prelims, and Dominique Jimenez, Claire Galante, and Sadie Anderson in the 200m.
Hofstra returns to competition on February 10 at the FastTrack National Invitational in Staten Island, New York.
