Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's cross country team will compete at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championship on Friday, October 30, at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.

The women's race will begin at 11 a.m., and live race results will be provided by elitefeats. The live results link, as well as a link to the CAA Cross Country Championships information page, will be available on the women's cross country schedule page on GoHofstra.com. Twelve teams will compete for the conference title, with an awards presentation scheduled for noon.

Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Vincent Giambanco announced that the seven runners representing the Pride will be Avery Brawner, Sophia Briggs, Natalie Campisi, Hannah Donzella, Saralyn Frederick, Isabella Gerena, and Macy Neider.

Hofstra enters the championship following a second-place finish at the Metropolitan Championships on October 10 in Brookville, New York. The Pride recorded 55 points to finish behind Columbia in the seven-team field. Briggs led Hofstra with an eighth-place finish, completing the 5K course in 18:26.3, while Gerena placed ninth in 18:36.2. Frederick finished 11th, followed by Brawner in 13th and Donzella in 14th.

Defending champion Elon headlines the field after capturing its fifth CAA women's title in six years in 2025. The Phoenix won all four races they entered during the 2026 regular season and return three runners who finished in the top eight at last year's championship.

William & Mary has finished second at the past two CAA Championships and owns a conference-leading 23 women's team titles. Northeastern, which captured its first CAA championship in 2024, has also finished second three times in the past six years.
