Hempstead, NY – The early goings of the 2023 season of Hofstra softball continues when the Pride flies down to Athens, Georgia for the Georgia Classic, hosted by the University of Georgia, on February 24-26. All games will be played at Turner Softball Stadium.

Friday, Feb. 24 @ 12:30 p.m. vs. Lipscomb
Friday, Feb. 24 @ 3 p.m. at Georgia
Saturday, Feb. 25 @ 3 p.m. at Georgia
Saturday, Feb. 25 @ 5:30 p.m. vs. Lipscomb
Sunday, Feb. 26 @ 10 a.m. vs. California Baptist

Hofstra opened its 2023 season in at the Houston Classic in Houston, Texas, and the Pride went 0-5 against nationally-ranked Washington, hosts Houston, and Morgan State.
Becca Vaillancourt went 6-14 from the batter's box with an RBI, while
Kasey Collins totaled five hits across Hofstra's five games.
Meghan Giordano and
Chelsea Manto both hit home runs, with Manto's coming via an inside-the-park home run.
In the pitcher's circle,
Haley Venturini struck out eight batters in two appearances, and
Emma Brennan made her Hofstra debut in three games of relief with five combined strikeouts.
#17 Georgia sports a 7-4 record entering the Georgia Classic, while Lipscomb is 2-5 on the year, and California Baptist is 4-6 in 2023.
