Hofstra Wrestles At Harvard And Sacred Heart Saturday

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team takes its final road trip of the regular season Saturday with a pair of Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association matches. The Pride will start the day with a 12 p.m. match at Harvard and conclude with a 7 p.m. match at Sacred Heart. 

Both matches will be live streamed with the Harvard match airing on ESPN+, while the Sacred Heart match will be streamed on NEC Front Row. Links for both can be found above or on the wrestling schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra enters Saturday with a record of 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the EIWA. The Pride split a pair of matches last weekend, defeating George Mason, 26-16, before losing to Drexel, 19-16, in a conference match. Hofstra was well represented in the latest NCAA rankings with five wrestlers in the top 30 in the RPI - Justin Hoyle (141, 30), Ross McFarland (174, 29), Jacob Ferreira (184, 10), Trey Rogers (197, 13), and Zachary Knighton-Ward (285, 25). Ferreira and Rogers are also ranked in the coaches poll at 24 and 26, respectively. 

Harvard is 1-4 overall and 1-3 in EIWA matches on the season with a conference match against Columbia Friday night. Sacred Heart is 0-10 overall and 0-4 in EIWA action. 

Hofstra is 10-9-1 all-time versus Harvard and 13-0 all-time versus Sacred Heart. 

Following the pair of matches, Hofstra will return home for its final home match of the season, next Saturday at 1 p.m. versus Cal Baptist.
