Staten Island, NY - Hofstra women's indoor track and field runner
Jordyn McDonnell earned a second place finish in the Mile at the Wagner College Shootout at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
McDonnell finished with a time of 5:00.6 to place second.
Jackalynn Orellana (9th, 5:27.5), Tori Bien (12th, 5:32.86),
Allison Reid (13th, 5:33.8),
Samantha Szabo (16th, 5:53.55),
Leslie Villafuerte Castro (17th, 6:15.21), and
Shavari Maharaj (20th, 6:26.63) also represented the Pride in the Mile.
Mackenzie Kelly (75th, 9.21),
Jordyn Hoit (78th, 9.41),
Lauren Galler (81st, 9.86),
Sofia Stasinos (82nd, 10.24), and Victoria Minicucci (83rd, 10.59) ran in the 60m dash.Â
Amanda Hinojos represented Hofstra in the 600m run and finished with a time of 1:52.32 to place 28th. In the 1000m,
Jordan Slovensky (23rd, 4:05.66) and
Lianne Emanuel (24th, 4:07.55) competed for Hofstra.
April Ivan competed for Hofstra in shot put, recording a throw of 7.84m to place 28th.Â
The Pride will meet again after the new year for the USATF Cross Country Championships on Saturday, January 20, in Richmond, Virginia.Â
