Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will play its lone December home game this Saturday when it hosts Norfolk State.
Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is slated for 2 p.m. The contest is part of a Hofstra basketball doubleheader as the women's basketball team will host Farmingdale State at 5 p.m.

There will be an "Ugly Sweater" contest at the game as well with the winner receiving a Hofstra Prize Pack! The Hofstra Department of Athletics is also asking all fans to bring a brand-new unwrapped toy to this year's men's basketball toy drive on Saturday. All toys will be distributed to children in the Uniondale School District.

Hofstra is 6-4 this season following a gauntlet of an early season schedule that most recently saw them drop a game at #21 Duke on Tuesday evening.
Darlinstone Dubar led the Pride with 24 points and eight rebounds in the game as the Pride concluded its three-game road swing.
Tyler Thomas added 18 points and
Jaquan Carlos nearly tallied a double-double with 10 points and nine assists against the Blue Devils.
Norfolk State is 7-4 this season and similar to Hofstra has played a quality non-conference schedule this season. The Spartans most recently lost to Stony Brook, 84-78 on Wednesday, but have road wins over Illinois State and Virginia Commonwealth. Jamarii Thomas led Norfolk State with 28 points against the Seawolves.
Saturday is the second-ever meeting between Hofstra and Norfolk State. The Pride defeated the Spartans, 88-74, back on December 2, 2014. Ameen Tanksley poured in 30 points in the win for Hofstra.
