Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will head to Estero, Florida this week as the Pride takes part in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
The three-day tournament at the Hertz Arena gets started on Monday, November 20 and continues through Wednesday, November 22.
Hofstra opens play at the tournament in the nightcap on Monday when they take on fellow Empire State school Buffalo at 7:30 p.m.

The other six teams in the field include: Iona, High Point, Long Beach State, Illinois State, Louisiana, and Wright State.
Hofstra heads to Florida with a 1-2 record after a 71-60 loss to George Washington on Tuesday.
Tyler Thomas led the Pride with 20 points and eight rebounds, while
Darlinstone Dubar added 17 and
KiJan Robinson chipped in with 10.
Buffalo is also 1-2, having picked up its first win of the season on Wednesday over Roberts Wesleyan.
The series between Hofstra and Buffalo is deadlocked at 2-2. The teams first met during the 1967-68 season, but the three most recent meetings all occurred when the schools were conference rivals in the East Coast Conference. The teams met twice during the 1991-92 campaign and once in the 1993-94 season.
Hofstra has won six straight games against schools from the State of New York and is 28-12 against New York State schools over the past 10 seasons.
