Hempstead, NY - Yagmur Cinel posted 11 kills, while Beatriz Alves added 36 assists and seven digs to lead the Hofstra volleyball team to a dominating three-set sweep of Campbell on Saturday afternoon at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center. 

Beatriz Braga was also in double figures for the Pride with 10 kills and added six digs. 

Hofstra improved to 17-7 overall and 7-6 in CAA play with the win. Campbell dropped to 12-11 and 9-4 in the league. Set scores were 25-19, 25-23, and 25-22. 

The Pride was exceptionally strong defensively in the first two sets as they held the Camels to a .086 hitting percentage in the opening stanza and a .000 attack percentage in the second set. Hofstra's offense put the finishing touches on the sweep with a stellar .343 hitting percentage in the third and final set. 

Chiara Cucco posted 10 digs for the Pride, while also got six kills and four blocks from Sarah Pierre. 

Melody Paige had 11 kills for Campbell, which also got 13 digs from McKenna Sciacca. 

The two teams will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. to close the weekend series. 

NOTES
- Today marked the first-ever meeting between Hofstra and Campbell. 
- Cinel reached double figures in kills for the 11th time this season, while Braga reached double figures for the sixth time. 
- Hofstra is now 9-3 this season in three-set matches.
