Hofstra Concludes Fall Campaign At Panther Invitational

Jericho, NY - The Hofstra men's golf team closed out their 2023 fall season with a third place finish at the Panther Invitational at Meadow Brook Club Thursday. 

The Pride finished third with a team score of 616 (+48) after two rounds. St. Thomas Aquinas took the team title at 591 (+23), while the hosts Adelphi fell just three strokes behind the lead at 594 (+26). 

Gavin Clarke played as an individual entrant for the Pride and finished tied for 8th-place at 149 (+7). Joseph Giamanco was next up for Hofstra at 152 (+10). Giamanco finished tied for 13th-place out of the 36-player field. One stroke behind Giamanco was Eugene Kang and Jaxon Hummel, who both shot a 153 (+11) and tied for 16th-place. Taishi Shigaki was 23rd at 158 (+16), while Vincent Apostolico finished 32nd at 167 (+25). 

Assumption's Kyle Pucho took the individual title at 143 (+1) and Filip Wetterqvist from Adelphi finished just two strokes behind Pucho at 145 (+3), taking second place.
