Bethlehem, PA - Taishi Shigaki shot 76 (+4) in the first round of the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club Friday. Shigaki is tied for 28th in the 78-player field. Hofstra is 13th out of 13 teams at 321 (+33). 

Joseph Giamanco and Eugene Kang were Hofstra's next best scorers, each shooting an 80 (+8) and tying for 58th with eight other golfers. Tyler Barbaro, playing as an individual, shot an 82 (+10) in the first round and is tied for 68th. Both Vincent Apostolico and Jaxon Hummel are tied for 76th after shooting an 85 (+13). 

Harry Dessel of Lafayette College and Evan Sitts of Binghamton are tied for first at 68 (-4). Three strokes behind them are Jahan Bains from Lehigh and Andres Rodriguez from Evansville at 71 (-1). Lehigh holds the team title at 293 (+5), with Evansville just two strokes behind at 295 (+7). 

The final round of the Lehigh Invitational gets underway Saturday at 9:30am.
