Hofstra Back In Action Thursday Night Versus Elon

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team gets back on the pitch following a week-long break when it hosts Elon Thursday night at 7 p.m. The Pride has not had a game since defeating Hampton, 4-1, last Thursday. 

The game will be streamed live on FloFC with audio provided by students from WRHU-FM. Live statistics and an audio only broadcast will also be available. Links for all can be found on GoHofstra.com.

The Pride (9-3-1, 6-1-1 CAA) which clinched a Coastal Athletic Association Championship berth for the seventh consecutive season, will be looking for their 10th win of the year and their third victory in a row. Elon comes to town with a 2-7-4 overall record and a 1-5-2 mark in conference play. The Phoenix played a 1-1 draw versus Drexel this past Sunday.

Wiktoria Fronc continues to lead the Pride in scoring with four goals and four assists for 12 points. Thorhildur Thorhallsdottir has two goals and three assists for seven points, while Olivia Pearse and Sasha McTiffin each have three goals. Skylar Kuzmich has a 7-1-1 record in goal with a 0.64 goals against average and 25 saves.

Ashlee Brehio and Grace Gelhaus lead Elon in scoring with nine points on three goals and three assists. Lydia Totten has a team-high four goals for eight points with Gabby Hoschek also at eight points on three goals and two assists. McKenna Dalfonso (1.58 GAA) and Anna Hamner (0.57 GAA) have split time in goal. 

Hofstra is 7-2-0 all-time against Elon. The teams have not played since the 2021 season when Elon posted a 2-1 victory in North Carolina. 

Following Thursday's game, Hofstra will remain home for its final regular season contest of the season on Sunday against Delaware at 1 p.m. The Pride will celebrate Senior Day prior to opening kickoff.
